TAX DEBT CONSULTANTS LLC
Privacy Policy
Effective September 17, 2026
This policy describes information handling for the Tax Debt Triage™ website and inquiries to Tax Debt Consultants LLC, doing business as The Tax Debt Detective. It does not replace privacy notices or confidentiality obligations that apply to a separately signed professional engagement.
1. Information you provide
The request form asks for your name, email address, phone number, tax agency, approximate debt range, unfiled-return status, notices received, preferred Triage tier, optional comments, and permission to contact you. Information you include in comments may reveal sensitive financial or tax circumstances.
Do not submit Social Security numbers, taxpayer identification numbers, account passwords, payment-card information, tax returns, or copies of agency notices through this form. Call us to arrange an appropriate method for sharing documents.
2. Current form status
The current website form is a demonstration: entries are processed in your browser and are not delivered to our office or saved by the form to a firm database. Its confirmation screen does not establish that we received your request. To request service now, call us or contact us directly using the details below. This notice must be updated before live form delivery is enabled.
3. How inquiry information is used
When you contact us directly, we use information you provide to respond, assess the services you are requesting, identify potentially urgent issues, arrange a review, and administer our communications. We may also use it to protect against misuse, maintain business records, and meet legal or professional obligations. An inquiry does not authorize access to IRS or FTB records.
4. Calls, texts, and email
Permission to contact you about an inquiry is not permission for unrelated marketing. Email and text messages can be misdirected or accessed by others, so avoid sending sensitive documents through those channels unless we arrange an appropriate process.
You may ask us to stop optional follow-up by calling or emailing us. If you receive a text, reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Necessary communications about an existing engagement or legal obligations may continue through an appropriate channel.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Website hosting and communication providers may process technical information or communications needed to supply their services. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful process, or to protect rights and security. Professional tax information is subject to applicable confidentiality and disclosure restrictions; this policy does not authorize disclosures prohibited by those rules.
The request form has no sale, advertising-sharing, or marketing-list integration. We do not authorize sharing inquiry contact consent with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Website technology and external links
Hosting providers may receive technical data such as IP addresses, browser details, request times, and security logs when you visit. This page also loads fonts and images from external services, which may receive your IP address and request information. The request form does not use browser storage to save your entries.
External websites, including the appointment-booking link, operate under their own privacy policies. Review those policies before submitting information there. This notice does not describe the separate privacy practices of those sites.
7. Retention and security
For inquiries actually received by our office, information is retained as needed to respond, administer services, and satisfy applicable recordkeeping, dispute, and legal requirements. Retention depends on the nature of the record and any engagement. No internet transmission or storage system can be promised completely secure.
8. Your choices and California privacy requests
You may ask what inquiry information we hold, request a correction or deletion, or withdraw permission for optional follow-up using the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records required by law or professional obligations.
California residents may have additional rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing, where applicable law grants those rights. Applicability and exceptions depend on the law and circumstances. We will review requests under the law that applies and will not unlawfully discriminate for exercising privacy rights. Do not send identification documents with your initial request.
9. Children and policy updates
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to our office, contact us. Changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated effective date.
